Information for and about writers.

My name is Kelley, and I am an ARTC writer.

I know from experience that the one thing ARTC writers can most benefit from is FEEDBACK -- reactions to scripts presented at rehearsal along the lines of "what works" and "what doesn't." Often, we don't recognize a piece's strengths and weaknesses until we have a chance to think over them; therefore, it helps to have a forum of communication through which we can communicate on our pieces' strengths and weaknesses between rehearsals.

Where should scripts be cut to improve pacing? Where could the effectiveness of a scene be improved by adding a Foley effect? How can characters' dialogue be tweaked here and there to make them more believable and/or interesting? Any and all advice on such questions is most welcome.
