Information about capturing and editing audio for ARTC.
Recording
DAT recorders
DAT recorders are two-channel (stereo) digital audio recorders. Bill Ritch currently has three DAT recorders -- only two of which really work. As tape is a dying medium, we will be phasing out our use of audio tape.
Professional DAT recorder
The Tascam DA30 MKII recorder is boxed in an SKB case along with a compressor and a pre-amp. It records onto DAT tapes.

It is very important to have a quiet PC. The quieter the PC is the easier it will be to find subtleties and imperfections in the mix.
